COVID-19 Hero Awards

Nominations are now open. Strong candidates from across a range of essential work and home sectors (first responders, doctors, nurses, parents, teachers, pharmacists, transit workers, truck drivers, postal workers, volunteers, sanitation workers, veterinarians, reporters, construction workers) are all heroes. Who is your Hero that has demonstrated their commitment to go above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic?

The ALO Foundation Grant Awards for COVID-19 Heroes is a national accolade that helps individuals receive emergency support, or if designated, provide a grant to a charity of choice in the United States.

Established as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ALO Foundation will honor a minimum of 10 outstanding individuals who made a significant and positive difference to people and the environment. By January 2021, three nominated winners will each receive up to $10,000 in grants.

There are two ways to nominate a Hero:

  1. Tell us about a hero in your community or workplace. How and why they impacted you or those near to you.
  2. Share your own story, your art, your videos, and your appreciation.

Please complete the form below. The strongest nominations include detailed responses written from your heart in your own words. Only nominations received by the due date will be considered.



Please describe your Hero’s extraordinary contributions or service, as they relate to making a difference during the COVID-19 pandemic. In other words, showcase how they provided a Ray of Hope to the world.
